Match Preview: Liverpool Vs Manchester United (14/10/2017)

A heavyweight Premier League clash takes place at Anfield on Saturday, as Liverpool play hosts to rivals Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp's men won just one of their last seven matches in all competitions. In contrast, the Red Devils have won nine and lost none of their 10 matches this season.

Each of the last three encounters between these sides have resulted in draws. This was largely due to the cautious tactics employed by Mourinho, who negated the opposition's pressing game by sitting back and surrendering possession - particularly away from home.

Although viewed by some as negative, this game plan effectively neutralized an attack that found the net in every single match against Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City and Arsenal - recording at least one victory against each.

Given this success, there is no reason why the Portuguese manager will stray from this strategy on Saturday, when his team should have little problem in nullifying a forward line that has been misfiring recently.

Having scored just eight times in their last seven games, a Liverpool side missing the injured Sadio Mane will surely struggle to break down a defense that has conceded only four goals in 10 fixtures this season.
